How It Works
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before you start.
You complete a free online health assessment, about five minutes of health questions. A licensed physician reviews your information, typically within 24 hours. If you're a good candidate, they prescribe a GLP-1 medication tailored to your profile. Your medication is then compounded and shipped directly to your door by HavoPharma, our licensed pharmacy partner. After that, you have access to ongoing physician support for refills, dose adjustments, and any questions.
Once approved by a physician, your prescription is sent to HavoPharma for compounding and dispensing. Most patients receive their first shipment within 3–5 business days. Rush shipping is available in most states. You'll receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order ships.
Weightiva currently serves patients in most U.S. states. Availability depends on state telehealth regulations and pharmacy licensing. Your assessment will confirm eligibility for your specific state. Contact us at hello@weightiva.com or call +1 866-733-3004 for current state availability.
No. The entire process is conducted online, from the health assessment to physician review, prescription, and delivery. You never need to visit a clinic or waiting room. Your physician may request follow-up information via secure message if needed.
If a physician determines that GLP-1 medication is not appropriate for you, you will not be charged for the assessment. We believe you should only pay for care you actually receive. The physician may also provide guidance on alternative options appropriate for your health profile.

GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonists are a class of medications that mimic a naturally occurring hormone in your body. They work by regulating appetite signals in the brain, slowing gastric emptying, and helping stabilize blood sugar levels, all of which reduce hunger and help your body respond differently to food. This is why GLP-1 medications produce weight loss results that diet and exercise alone typically cannot match: they address the biology, not just behavior.
Both are GLP-1 class medications. Semaglutide (the active ingredient in Ozempic® and Wegovy®) acts on one receptor pathway and is clinically proven to produce significant weight loss. Tirzepatide (the active ingredient in Mounjaro® and Zepbound®) acts on two receptor pathways simultaneously, which clinical data suggests may produce greater average weight loss for some patients. Your physician will recommend the option best suited to your health history and goals. Both are available as weekly injections; semaglutide is also available in tablet form.
Compounded medications are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies, including our partner HavoPharma, using pharmaceutical-grade active ingredients. They are not FDA-approved as finished drug products, but they are dispensed based on a valid physician prescription and produced in pharmacies operating under state and federal regulations. Your prescribing physician will take your complete health history into account before recommending any medication.
The most common side effects of GLP-1 medications are gastrointestinal: nausea, mild vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation, especially during the dose-escalation phase. These typically improve within the first few weeks as your body adjusts. Your physician will discuss a titration schedule designed to minimize side effects. More serious but rare side effects exist; your physician will review contraindications based on your health history before prescribing.
You must be 18 or older and located in a state where Weightiva services are available. GLP-1 medications are generally appropriate for adults with a BMI of 27 or above, particularly those with at least one weight-related health condition, or a BMI of 30 or above. Certain health conditions, medications, or history may disqualify you from the program, and this is assessed during your health review. The final determination is made by a licensed physician.

The Weightiva program starts at $249 per month. This includes your physician review, personalized treatment plan, medication, ongoing physician support, and free shipping. There are no hidden membership fees or additional charges beyond the monthly program cost. Multi-month plans are available at reduced monthly rates, see our Pricing page for details.
The Weightiva program is a cash-pay service, and we do not bill insurance directly. However, many HSA and FSA plans cover medically necessary telehealth services and prescription medications. We recommend checking with your HSA/FSA administrator. If branded medications (Wegovy®, Zepbound®) are prescribed, your insurance plan may cover them separately through your pharmacy benefit, and your physician can provide the documentation needed.
Yes. GLP-1 telehealth programs and prescription medications are generally HSA/FSA eligible expenses. Most major HSA and FSA cards are accepted at checkout. If you need a letter of medical necessity for your HSA/FSA administrator, contact our support team.
Yes. There are no contracts or long-term commitments. You can cancel your program at any time by contacting our support team. Cancellation must be requested at least 72 hours before your next billing date to avoid the next charge. Because prescription medications are compounded to order, shipped medication cannot be returned, but future billing will stop upon cancellation.
If a physician determines you are not a candidate for the program, you will receive a full refund, no questions asked. If you cancel after your medication has shipped, refunds are generally not available for that shipment due to the nature of compounded prescription medications. Damaged or incorrect shipments are eligible for replacement. See our Terms of Service for the full policy.

Most patients notice meaningful changes within the first 4–8 weeks as their body adjusts to the medication and the dose escalates. Clinical studies show average weight loss of 10–18% of body weight over a 6–12 month period. Individual results vary based on health history, adherence, lifestyle factors, and the specific medication prescribed. Results are not guaranteed.
